Basic rhythm patterns
Simple melodies and chord shapes
Note reading foundations
Playing together as a group
By the end, students can play short songs confidently and keep a steady beat.
BEGINNER
AGES 8-9
A structured beginner class for elementary-age students ready to learn songs and chords.
Students ages 8-9 learn:
Reading simple melodies + TAB
Common open chords
Strumming patterns
Playing in time with others
Short ensemble pieces
The ideal starting point for most new students.
BEGINNER
AGES 10-12
For older beginners ready to learn fast.
Students ages 10-12 learn:
Rhythmic accuracy
Note reading and TAB fluency
A full chord vocabulary
Picking skills + fingerstyle basics
Harmonizing and playing parts together
Great for students who want a strong foundation before moving to more advanced study.
Group Classes First
Group learning is the fastest and most enjoyable way for young musicians to build core skills.
Students learn
Group classes make private lessons more effective later and create a fun, social environment.
Students with prior experience (chords, TAB, reading basics) may start in private lessons.

All group classes are 50 minutes in length. Prospective students are welcome to pop into a class to see what it’s like before committing.
